Temple Israel Funds
Adult Education
Enables and supports the Temple in providing a wide variety of educational and entertaining programming
Cemetery
Supports the operation and beautification of the Temple Israel Cemetery, which is managed by the Temple Israel Cemetery Corporation, a separate 501(c)3 non-profit entity;
General
Provides for the daily maintenance of the synagogue
Library
Fosters a love of Jewish life, culture, and history;
Men’s Club
Underwrites its activities and social events;
Ma’asim Tovim
Supports social action activities of our congregation, including an outdoor free library and food pantry;
Oneg/Kiddush
for weekly Oneg Shabbat and Kiddush luncheons;
Rabbi’s Tzedakah
Provides discretionary funding for the Rabbi to assist those in need, both within and without the congregation;
Religious School
Supports religious school programming and tuition scholarship;
Temple Israel Jewish Camping Scholarship
Provides scholarship assistance for children of our members to attend Jewish youth camping programs;
Torah Restoration
Which ensures that congregational Torah scrolls are properly maintained according to the highest standards of Jewish law and custom. Funds are also used for the beautification and maintenance of the Bimah and synagogue ritual objects.
Youth Programming
Which subsidizes social activities and events for any teenage members of the congregation.

Marlene A Davis Art Education
Marlene z”l was a Judaica artist and a member of the congregation. Her works can be found within the Temple;
Frederick Cohen Large Print Siddur
Swhich supports the funding of special, large print siddurim for those congregants with poor eyesight. Fred z”l (of blessed memory) was a member for many years;
Elaine Farb Memorial Choir
Which supports choral music tradition in our synagogue;
Friends of the Ethan Gold Children’s Library
Which was created in Ethan’s z”l memory to establish, maintain and purchase books for the Temple Israel children’s library;
Harold & Hannah Rosenblum Education
Which supports education, and who are active, long-time members;
Savage Family Temple Israel Chapel
Which was established to create and maintain our Chapel;
Magness Family Children’s Play Area Fund
Which was established to maintain our outdoor recreation area;
Siddur/Chumash Dedication
Which allows individuals to honor or commemorate friends and loved ones in a Siddur (prayer book) or Chumash (Torah and Haftorah portions). A book plate with your dedication will be placed in the inside cover, and an acknowledgement will be sent to the family. The cost of the books to be dedicated is as follows:
Sisterhood Funds
Temple Israel Sisterhood plays an active role in supporting all aspects of synagogue life.
Commemorative Markers
Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques
Dedicated to the memory of loved ones, are placed on the Yahrzeit wall inside the sanctuary, and its lights are kindled during each yahrzeit and yizkor observance. The cost of each plaque is $360.00.
Tree of Life
Where a new leaf is added to the tree adorning a wall of the Roth Social Hall, with an inscription honoring a loved one or commemorating any special occasion or joyful event. The cost of each leaf is $180.00.
